Mini-Mapper 9: Motor encoder circuit design

This episode is about designing the circuitry to handle the photointerrupter in the motor encoder. There's some LTSpice simulation based on the phototransistor current signal simulations from part 8, and components choices based on worst case design.

  • I switched the choice of photointerrupter to the Vishay TCST1202 to give more clearance between the motor driver PCB and the top chassis plate of the robot.
